CPU: WDC 65C02-2.2 (gnadenlos übertaktet seitens SciSys)

In meinem Modul findet sich HC-49/U. Ist aber egal, die anderen passen auch. Wichtig, Grundton.

CPU: WDC W65C02P-8
Quarz: 10 MHz (Original könnte aber auch 9,8 MHz gewesen sein... 10 MHz funktioniert natürlich auch)

Nachtrag: Rein rechnerisch müssten es 9,8 MHz sein.

Ja, funktioniert. Die Steckplätze U5 und U6 sind für Speicherbausteine (Analyst = U5 & U6 = 62C62 / Maestro nur U6 = 62C64 bzw. der ganz rechte Steckplatz - U5 und U6 sind teilweise unterschiedlich beschriftet) vorgesehen.

Meine Analyst C 6Mhz ist ein wenig anders, wie sie beschrieben. Ich glaube, es's alle werkseitigen ursprüngliche außer für die 10Mhz Quarz ich persönlich mich ersetzt. Ich habe nur ein 62C64-70 in Steckplatz U5 und nichts in Steckplatz U6 noch nicht einmal eine Steckdose. Auch mein Prozessor ist der WDC 65C02P-8 nicht die WDC 65C02-2.2.

Zum Installieren der zusätzlichen RAM muss ich nur noch Löten eine zweite 62C64-55/70 RAM-Chip in den Steckplatz U6? Oder steckt mehr dahinter? Auch wie Ich bestätige meine Analyst ist die Nutzung der zusätzlichen RAM?

My Analyst C 6Mhz is a little different to how you described. I believe it's all factory original except for the 10Mhz quartz I personally replaced myself. I only have one 62C64-70 in slot U5 and nothing in slot U6 not even a socket. Also my processor is the WDC 65C02P-8 not the WDC 65C02-2.2.

To install the additional RAM I just need to solder a second 62C64-55/70 RAM chip into slot U6? Or is there more to it? Also how to I confirm my Analyst is utilising the extra RAM?

ein (gutes, großes) Foto wäre hilfreich.

Aber es ist eigentlich recht simpel. Ich würde den Quarz tauschen und einen zweiten Speicher einbauen (aber mit Sockel). Die CPU ist ok. Es kann eigentlich nichts passieren. Aus meiner Sicht sollten auch 70ns Speicher für 10 MHz völlig ausreichend sein.

Ich werde eine Teststellung vor und nach der Installation der zusätzlichen RAM , um zu sehen , ob es einen Unterschied machen . Ich habe auch die D ++ Programm, um zu testen.

Hi, by the way I have similar story with my TurboKing: it has only one 8kb RAM plank, so the 2nd slot is empty and must be soldered. The question is: how much this upgrade could increase device's perfomance in real?
Also you need to know that both RAMs must have same access time and its also recommended that they both are same model/manufacturer...

Probably not a whole lot of performance increase I would imagine. I'll let you know once I get them a do a test position.

Thanks for the tip about the RAM. I can't seem to find any wide 28pin HY62C64P-55 DIPs anyway so will stick with the 70ns.
