the dedicated chess computers are the main theme in this forum.

Of course, occasionally we talk about chess/computer chess gossip (= "Schachcafé") because everyone talks about it, but it should remain a marginal phenomenon.

in general historical chess computer are the main and only topic in this board. And there is a difference between "chess computer" and "computer chess"!

OK, some engines are runniung on the Mysticum (and Revelation) but nevertheless this is not the main place to talk about Rybka, SF, Houdini etc.

For all the topics about computer chess there are many other boards all around the world.

The PDA tournament which is running right now has some "historical" reasons ...

For active members we have the "Schachcafé" to make some small talk about chess topics in general. But that sub forum is not the main part ... it is just an add on: It is for posting tipps and hints, jokes etc. pp.

If you started this thread because of my last posting in the actual "RJF" thread ... please let me explain: Some topics are harmless at all. You can make jokes etc. pp. and everything is ok ...

Some topics "slip away" sooner or later ... and the intonation is getting rougher. And topics about RJF are topics like that. He was a very special player and human ... and even so many years later emotions getting hot if he is the topic.

emotional brisante Themen sind und waren nie gut - in keinem Forum der Welt. Es wird sich jedoch auch hier bei uns nie völlig vermeiden lassen, denn selbst wenn es "nur" um Schachcomputer geht, können unterschiedliche Meinungen in Extreme verfallen. Auch liegt es im Auge des einzelnen Betrachters, wann etwas "zu" emotional gerät. Wie will man hier eine Grenze ziehen? Das wird kaum funktionieren...

Da dies eine stetig wachsende Community ist, wird täglich die Gefahr unbequemer Topics größer - es ist unvermeidbar und liegt in der Natur des Menschen, auch wenn es uns nicht gefällt. Man könnte es radikal lösen (oder zumindest versuchen), indem man Offtopics generell unterbindet. Doch das wäre keine gute Idee, denn es hätte den Character einer Bevormundung und das kommt nicht gut an. Eine Entschärfung kann man aber auch durch dezente Vorbeugung erzielen. Hier habt Ihr als Moderatoren bzw. Boardadmninistration die Fäden in der Hand und könnt es selbst steuern:

Eliminiert einfach alle Foren die nicht unmittelbar dem Bereich Schachcomputer zugeordnet sind von der Portalseite!

Da diese mit Sicherheit von der überwiegenden Mehrheit der Mitglieder als "Haupteingang" zu den Foren verwendet wird, haben etwaig brisant werdende Themen eine weit geringere Wirkung - einfach weil sie seltener gesehen werden. Dies ist eine Schachcomputerseite und da kann sich keiner beschweren, wenn nur noch die relevanten Foren auf der Portalseite erscheinen. Ich glaube kaum, dass jemand die Nicht-Schachcomputer-Topics auf der Portalseite ernsthaft vermissen würde.

Natürlich wird das kein Allheilmittel sein, doch kann ich mir eine positive Auswirkung durchaus vorstellen. Bitte betrachtet meinen öffentlich gemachten Vorschlag daher lediglich als Versuch, etwas zur Pflege der Forumskultur beizutragen. Es ist nicht mehr, aber auch nicht weniger. Ich stelle es auch nur zur Diskussion zwischen euch beiden. Das ich es öffentlich mache ist ausschließlich deshalb, damit die Community einen "Prügelknaben" hat, falls ihr meinen Vorschlag anwendet und er unerwarteterweise auf Ablehnung bei den Mitgliedern stößt. Ich vertrage das schon...

I think I'm a big collector of chess computers, always high quality and I love the theme. But any activity in life to become monotonous if there is a bit of emotion.

Of course, Sacha, I've asked because of your comment and to another person. And because they do not want to cause any discomfort.

That said, I express the same humble opinion that Michael, if there is a cafe and someone opens a topic on which there are 200 visits a day, that situation is great for this forum. If this situation is not good for the Forum, because it takes leadership to computer chess, it would have to remove that place of discussion.

Translatoren können eben nicht alles.

Similarly, Juan Ramon Jimenez, Spanish is not used in the(j), (g) only for all the words.
