Here is an update on DOSBox Windows 98. With Arena I have currently over 500 chess engines up and running as well as several hundred that work under Fritz 8.

I also loaded Chessmaster 8000 and Winboard engines work under it as well.



The above picture shows me playing Gandalf 6 inside Chessmaster 8000.



The Winboard engines look like Strartrek's Borg in CM8000



And here I am playing King of Alabama personality inside Chessmaster 9000 that I also have running with DOSBox Windows 98.

The only thing I cannot do is play Tournaments inside CM as for that I would have to leave a virtual cd running and I don't want to waste my precious space on my virtual Hardrive.



But I want to play a tournament then I can always use Arena as the above pricture shows or Fritz 8, both let you play tournaments with any problems all the way down to simulating a 486-66 MHz in speed.

Well with more than 500 engines in Arena, 300+ in Fritz 8, CM8K and CM9k, as well quite a few other programs. What more can I possibly need to play against at speeds that I can understand and speeds that I can have great computer versus dedicated tournaments.

Chess life just can't get any better than this.
