Over here, back in april, MikeChess volunteered to donate a SS3. I have sent him a private message.

I will rewrite the SS3 MAME driver, Berger is also interested in reverse-engineering it if he receives one.

The CC1 dumping process is an unlucky story: A while ago, Berger received a broken CC1 from a collector. He tried to dump it and found out that the ROM chip was bad(1 address line was broken). Then I got him in touch with Sean Riddle. For optically reading the chip die, Sean decapped the ROM. But unfortunately the die cracked during the process.

Note, Sean Riddle is also one of the few guys that can dump the internal ROMs to Fairchild MCUs. It's thanks to him that I wrote the driver for ACI Boris for example.
*edit* ah, right, Boris has normal roms. It's Boris Diplomat that has the MCU with internal ROM.
