Das getunte Fidelity Gerät hat also 34 Elo verloren, das CXG-Gerät 36 Elo gewonnen und mit dem denkbar knappsten Resultat den Wettkampf verloren. Das ist völlig überraschend, denn eigentlich hat niemand gezweifelt, dass Fidelity Excellence 6 MHz dieses Match klar und hoch gewinnen würde. Und selten haben wir ein derart unausgeglichenes Match gesehen mit beidseitig teilweise haarsträubenden Fehlern und Veränderungen der Stellungsbewertungen in den selben Partien von = zu +- dann = hernach -+ und schliesslich doch wieder +-, usw. Interessant ist ein Vergleich, wenn man die effektiven Partieresultate anschaut mit dem Verlauf der Partien und die jeweils ersten Gewinnstellung der Programme als Massstab für den Partieausgang (hypothetisch) nimmt. Dieser Vergleich sieht wie folgt aus:

So gesehen hätte der Fidelity Excellence 6 MHz also mit 11,5-8,5 gewinnen müssen. Das amerikanische Programm hat mehr Gewinnstellungen, total 5, zum Verlust geführt. Die CXG Sphinx 40 most aggressive hat ebenfalls in 5 Partien versagt und 3 Gewinnstellungen verloren und in 2 Partien statt gewonnnen nur Remis gemacht. Angesichts der hohen Fehlerquote beider Programme ist es nicht erstaunlich, dass lediglich 3 von 20 Partien mit Remis ausgegangen sind.
