AW: Mein U1950 Turnier

Runde 4 Partie
-----------------------
Stefan - Constellation 7

1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 e6 3. Nc3 Bb4 4. a3 {Saemisch variation (with later f3) in the Nimzo-Indian, white has some profound plans to push e4 after f3.}
Bxc3+ {Thema of this opening, is the Bishop Exchange Justified ? Surely the
Conny won't play the best plan to demonstrate it is justified.} 5. bxc3 O-O (
5... c5 6. e3 Nc6 7. Bd3 O-O {Is slighly better}) 6. f3 (6. Bg5 c5) 6... d5 {
Now White must get rid of the double pawn , before black plays c5.} 7. cxd5
exd5 {Represents a more balanced centre as capturing with a Knight that has to
retreat} (7... Nxd5 8. c4 Nf6) 8. e3 {White plan is to Play Bd3, Ne2, 0-0, Re1
and e4, e5 ... black has no defense against it except b6, Ba6 to lower the
pressure exchanging bishops.} Re8 9. Bd3 b6 10. Ne2 {And the openingtheory
continues with Ba6 giving black a solid game compared to the Connys variation.}
Nbd7 {I won't call it a bad move, but no Grandmaster will ever play it.
Comparing only with the main move Ba6, its clear its no good.} (10... Ba6 11.
Bc2 c5 12. O-O Nc6) 11. O-O Bb7 {After Nbd7, of course Ba6 is no longer an
option, so the bishop is now looking against its own pawn. The only advantage
is that is controlls e4 a bit more, but white has many resources. Ng3, Re1,
Qc2 and e4 goes...} 12. Ng3 Qb8 $2 {
The Conny doesn't know what to do, clearly c5 is a valid option.} (12... c5 13.
Re1 {14... c4 is not effective only after an eventual Qc2.} Qc7 $14) 13. Qc2 $5
$16 {Again in support of e4 but , there is a small but after c5, e4, either c4
or cxd4...} a6 $4 {
The Conny chooses to wait, but there is no waiting in this position....} (13...
c5 14. e4 c4 15. Be2 dxe4 16. fxe4 Nxe4 17. Bxc4 Ndf6 $14 {
And black is not too bad...}) 14. e4 $18 c5 $2 {
Too late... a Knight will go ...} (14... Nf8 {
To free up a square for the Night on f6 as it has no fields to go...} 15. e5
N6d7 16. Bd2 c5 17. Nf5 $18) 15. e5 c4 16. Bf5 g6 17. Bh3 {
Blacks position is hopeless... that soon !} (17. exf6 $1 Nxf6 18. Qd2 Bc8 (
18... gxf5 $4 19. Qg5+ Kf8 20. Qxf6 $18) 19. Qh6 Bxf5 20. Nxf5 gxf5 21. Qg5+
Kf8 22. Qxf6 $18) 17... Nxe5 18. Bf4 $1 {Yes the Knight is pinned !} Nxf3+ (
18... Nfd7 $4 19. Bxd7) 19. Rxf3 Qa7 {That also !} (19... Qd8 $4 20. Bg5) 20.
Be5 (20. Nf5 $1 gxf5 21. Rg3+ Kh8 {
Mate in as much as 7 moves, didn't play that resourceful of course...} 22. Qxf5
) 20... Ne4 {Only Move or Rxe5 and Ne8 is also possible} 21. Nxe4 dxe4 22. Rf6
b5 {Tricky move, now Raf1 fails on Rxe5 !} 23. Qf2 (23. Rxf7 Kxf7 24. Qf2+ Kg8
(24... Ke7 25. Qf6#) 25. Qf6 Rxe5 {Only move to not go checkmate} 26. Qxe5 $18
{Ok the Rook sacrifice is nice for PC Chess engines, not for real humans ....;}
) 23... Bd5 24. Rd6 $1 Bb7 $4 (24... Qb7 25. Qf6 Rxe5 26. Qxe5 Bc6 $18) 25. Qf6
$2 {Missed the most splendid combination Rd7 !!!} (25. Rd7 {Mat in 5} Rf8 (
25... f5 26. Qh4) 26. Qf6) 25... Rxe5 26. Qxe5 Rf8 27. Qe7 Qa8 28. Rf1 Bd5 29.
Bd7 {In my opinion to avoid e3 & Re8....} (29. Qd7 $1 Bb7 30. Be6 fxe6 31.
Qxe6+ Kh8 32. Rd7 $1) 29... Bb7 $2 30. Rdf6 (30. Rxf7 Rxf7 31. Be6 Qf8 32. Qf6
{And black will go mate...}) 30... Bd5 31. Rd6 Bb7 32. Qf6 {
I just didn't see the killing move ...} e3 33. Bc6 Bxc6 34. Rxc6 Qe8 35. Re1
Qe4 36. Qf3 Qc2 37. Qxe3 a5 38. d5 Qb3 39. d6 1-0
