Thanks for posting these results, it is always interesting to see the games!

I found in my testing between the old CGPro and the Star diamond that the CGPro had a much better result when set to the Classic/London book against the SD. I did two 10 game matches at 40moves/2 hours, the first match I had the old CGPro using the Modern book and the CGPro won 6 - 4. In the second match against the SD I set the CGPro to the Classic/London book and it won 7.5 to 2.5. This is not conclusive but I think the Modern (HIARCS) book gives the CGPro some problems as it does not know how to play many of the openings properly and can lose badly, but also sometimes win of course. With the London book this does not seem to happen as much. I suspect because it comes out of book knowledge sooner and this is better for the machine. The London book is also not optimized for the CGPro.

I've started my 10 game match between CGPro and CGPro2024 at 40moves 2 hours with the CGPro using the Classic book. I suspect a draw or close finish, but the result may be interesting.
