Sorry I'm late in joining this conversation - it was the middle of the night for me!

I have just released version 3.2 of my Millennium driver that allows full position set up in LucasChess and Shredder with the position sent to the eOne. That includes playing on as white or black. Unfortunately it won't work in Arena as that GUI can only set up positions using boards with piece recognition as it needs to be driven by the board.

Note that after pressing the white/black button on the board to tell the board which pieces are nearest you, then setting up the pieces where you want them you must then lift up and replace any one of the pieces. For some reason the eOne needs this to tell it that the position is complete.

Lucas has already included it in his download (1.30d) and it's on my web page too. I have also added links to the user manuals on my page so you can read those without having to download the files.
